TulsaFest!
TulsaFest Festival of the Arts is a multi-discipline, multi-level arts education experience created by the Performing Arts Institute at Tulsa Community College. The annual summer program showcases the talents of classically trained musicians of all ages in an educational setting to encourage and develop student interest in the performing arts.
TulsaFest’s education component offers a unique opportunity for middle and high school students to work closely with local, regional, and national professionals for instrumental and vocal instruction. For two weeks, students attend daily classes, participate in master classes led by professional musicians, perform for guest conductors, and work in small groups and ensembles. High school band, orchestra, and chorus students participate in All-State workshops.
Student performers present two featured concerts during the two-week festival. Along with the educational component, TulsaFest offers arts patrons several show-stopping performances each year. Featured entertainers include local, regional,
and national names, along with outstanding budding artists selected from among the TulsaFest students. Professional guests on the TulsaFest stage have included Broadway stars, internationally acclaimed pianists, renowned composers, singers, dancers, and big bands.
TulsaFest Festival of the Arts is designed
and coordinated through the TCC Performing Arts Institute, to enhance communication and coordination of the arts throughout the community and educational system. Through TulsaFest,
audiences and performers of all ages have the opportunity to make the performing arts an important part of their lives.
